- Pour cement to a diameter approximately 2" less then actual pond diameter.
(for example, a 66" pond wouldhave a 64" poured base).
- Slab should be rebar re-enforced and at least 3" thick.
- Leave a 6" - 8" diameter hole in center of pad.
- Using 2" PVC pipe, run an empty conduit (without any obstructions) from the center of the pad to a nearby electrical plug-in box. Remember to use curved turns - no right angles!
- Electrical box needs to be within reach of the pump cord (we do not advise the use of extention cords).
- Fountains do not need a plumbed water supply. Just top off with a garden hose as required. The internal electrical pump will recirculate the water already within the feature.
